Buttermilk Cheddar Biscuits
2 cups all purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp powdered milk
1 tbsp baking powder
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tbsp parsley
6 oz (12 tbsp) salted butter
1 cup buttermilk
2 cups cheddar cheese
Preheat oven to 450F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Melt 2/3 of the butter (8 tbsp) and set aside.
Combine flour, salt, sugar, powdered milk, baking powder, 1 1/2 tsp of garlic powder, and 1 tbsp parsley flakes. Add melted butter and buttermilk to dry ingredients and fold in until combined. Add the cheese and fold in.
Roll 2 tbsp of dough into a uniform shape and place on the baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the biscuits are golden brown. Melt the remaining 4 tbsp butter and combine with 1/2 tsp of garlic powder and 1 tbsp of parsley. Brush over biscuits as they come out of the oven.
