Recipe from my Mom!
I love my Mom, what a gem. This was the classic red sauce for pasta growing up and I have very fond memories of it. I usually add a bunch of mushrooms now that my siblings rarely eat my cooking and can't complain about a bit of fungus.
Slow Cooker Spaghetti Sauce
3lb browned ground beef
1 sautéed onion
4 cloves garlic
42oz crushed tomatoes
11oz tomato paste
6 celery stalks
20oz mushrooms
1 tsp basil
2 tsp celery salt
2 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp oregano
4 tsp parsley flakes
2 tsp pepper
1 tsp rosemary
4 tsp sugar
4 bay leaves
Mix together in a crockpot and cook on high for 2 hours.
